Performing at the South Africa Concert
Spanning a career of almost 30 years, UB40 were one of the most successful reggae-pop bands of the
'80s on the strength of their cover version of Neil Diamond's "Red Red Wine." Formed in 1978, the band has
boasted a remarkably stable membership. They've released more than 20 records,
but their top seller is still 1983's "Labour of Love." Aside from "Red Red Wine," other British
No. 1 hits are 1985's "I Got You (Babe)" and 1993's "(I Can't Help) Falling in
Love With You." Their latest record is "Who You Fighting For?," released in
2005.
